Tiny Toddles Pouty Doll - Original Dress - Blonde 12" Uneeda
This is the Toddles doll by Uneeda. She was made in a large 16 inch size as well: this is the 12 inch doll and she's a dainty little cutie with a solemn, pretty face. She has blonde hair, aqua blue eyes. Body and legs are plastic; arms and head are vinyl. Hair is rooted. Sleepy eyes work well.
She has lovely face paint and a soft pretty smile. The dress is original and so are the panties and socks. I'm not sure about the shoes: they're a little small so I might give her some other shoes. It's possible that the vinyl shrunk. These shoes were used on Uneeda's 11 inch dolls too so maybe they made do.
This doll is in good condition but needs a little cleaning. She hasn't been played with much, if ever; but she's been sitting around for over 50 years so she's a little grubby around the edges. This Toddles doll was most likely made in the late 1960's
that was a good guess because she is marked Uneeda Doll Company, 1965 on the back of her neck.
Vintage dolls in this 11 and 12 inch size are a charming group. Many doll companies made them in this size. It would be fun to collect them, and sew for them.
