Cutest Little Redheaded Doll - Cowgirl Composition Doll or Compo Doll
Uneeda made a composition dolly called - The Cutest Little Red Headed Doll - which was commissioned by United Music Corp as a novelty doll to go along with their new hit song: which apparently didn't become a hit because Google never heard of it, although Jack Wall and Carl Sigman made names for themselves in the music industry.
I've got the cutest little red headed doll
With a yellow bow in her hair
A gingham dress she is happy to wear
Just for me.

We have seen the Redheaded Doll before, but she is usually wearing Gingham, as the song says. This doll is wearing a Cowgirl outfit, and a little bit of yellow gingham ribbon at the neckline, under the laced ties. This beautiful doll is in excellent condition. The compo is perfect. The outfit is original and the hangtag does seem to be her own, especially since she has the flaming red hair (mohair.) The hat is her own, and so are the boots with their cute little spurs on them. She even has a small holster on a belt, with a tiny pistol in it.
This doll seems to have been inspired by Annie Oakley. She comes with a cowgirl hangtag, but I was told it's not original to the doll. The drawing resembles Dale Evans, who came along a little bit later than this dolly. The doll was possibly made in the 1930's but that's a guess. So far I haven't located a date for the release of the song.
Our Red Headed Cowgirl resembles the vintage Patsy dolls, with one bent arm and one straight. She is strung jointed like the old Patsy dolls. The doll is 18 inches tall. The compo is in excellent condition: I couldn't find cracks or lifts anywhere.
