This is the American Character Tiny Tears 11-inch baby doll with Rockabye Eyes; when you lay the doll on her back and rock her back and forth, her eyes will slowly go to sleep. Tiny Tears was made in the 1950's.
This doll is in good condition. She has very good saran hair in original curls. The genuine rubber body is in good shape; it's still supple (these real-rubber doll bodies should be oiled about once a year with baby oil so they don't dry out.) The rockabye eyes work the way they're supposed to.
The eyebrows are a little faded but that is normal for these dolls with the hard vinyl or hard resin head: I'm not sure what the heads are made with but it's very hard and heavy. The doll is jointed at neck, shoulders and hips.
The doll is marked AMERICAN CHARACTER on the neck, along with patent numbers.
