Vintage American Character Doll. American Character 16" Baby Sue This doll was made by the American Character doll company, probably in the late 40's or early 50's. She has a hard plastic head and vinyl arms and legs. The body is cloth. There is some repair to the cloth under one arm, otherwise the doll is in very good condition and she's very clean. She is 16 inches long. Her eyes have all their lashes and the sleep mechanism works fine. Eyes aren't in perfect alignment but they're ok as you can see, she's very pretty. Her outfit is not original but is very cute on her.
